All Set for Miles Morales

Tom Holland’s MCU Spider-Man flicks have essentially created the stage for Miles Morales’ MCU entrance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Following a botched enchantment by Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch). To erase Peter’s personality from the world’s combined consciousness. Tom Holland’s Spider-Man will confront adversaries from all across the Multiverse in No Way Home. Which will open on December 17th.

Will Miles Morales Appear In Spider-Man: No Way Home? This Easter Egg Suggests He will.

The Bad Guys and Tom Holland’s Successor

No Way Home’s adversaries feature Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe). Moreover, various characters including Electro (Jamie Foxx), all of whom have appeared in previous Spider-Man movies well before MCU. Even though No Way Home is a farewell to Holland as Spider-Man. He has picked an equally well-known web-head as his successor.

A Miles Morales Stand-Alone Film?

“Maybe what’s ideal for Spider-Man is that marvel produces a Morales picture,” Holland said in a GQ conversation. “It may well be appropriate for me to move on.”

There’s no requirement for a fresh origins narrative or entrance location for Miles in the MCU, despite the appearance. For all intents and purposes, Holland has essentially performed most of the hard work. In terms of establishing Miles in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Spider-Man: No Way Home will have the returns of Electro and Doctor Octupus, but could also feature the MCU debut of Miles Morales.

Foreshadowing

Aaron Davis, Donald Glover’s character in Spider-Man: Homecoming, appeared in the 2017 film. In addition to being a member of the Prowler family, Davis is also the uncle of Miles Morales.

Although whilst also this wouldn’t be regarded as formal MCU lore. A missing clip from Homecoming shows Davis mentioning Miles by name. That is, in a phone conversation. Thereby, providing yet another apparent opportunity for the character.

Spider-Man: Homecoming planted the seeds for Miles to appear in the MCU when Aaron Davis (Donald Glover) referenced his nephew.

Setting the Timeline for Morales

Peter Parker was one of the millions of people that crumbled into ashes. It happened when Thanos snapped and decimated away half of the cosmos. This happened in Avengers: Infinity War.

And although Smart Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) restored Peter and the others who died back to life. Which took place in Avengers: Endgame by performing a second snap. He did that using the Infinity Stones. They had already been dead for five years.

Miles’ Spider-Man origin is established in this time leap. With Miles being bitten by a spider. And learning his spider abilities when Peter is away from the city.

Miles’ spider-bite may have occurred earlier in Peter’s journey to Far From Home. When he had lesser opportunity to create his individual personality as Spider-Man. And so had a more immediate impact on him. Before No Way Home, Miles’ Spider-Man may not have had enough exposure to catch the public’s attention.

Future for Miles Morales

As Spider-Man, Tom Holland has appeared in six films in five years. With just a three-day hiatus between the end of Uncharted and the beginning of No Way Home.

Miles Morales’ idea as his replacement tends to make perfect logic from a plot viewpoint. The MCU already has accomplished a lot to pave the way for Miles’s arrival. Therefore, it’s a cinch to execute it.

Miles Morales is one of several outstanding Spider-people in the Spider-verse. If Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s individual Spider-Men remain true, he’d be in great company (Curran, 2021).
