Keaton as Vulture

As soon as the first trailer for Morbius came out a year ago, people started talking about Michael Keaton, not Jared Leto. It was the first sign that stories and characters from two separate franchises might be able to cross over. These are the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Sony’s Spider-Man Universe. Because of the small appearance, many people thought that Keaton was playing Vulture, the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming, at the time. It wasn’t until Venom: Let There Be Carnage that it was confirmed that Keaton was playing Vulture, though.

Keaton hasn’t finished all of his scenes yet?

The movie is only a few weeks away from its release. However, it looks like Keaton hasn’t finished all of his scenes even though the movie is about to hit theatres. It’s not yet clear if Keaton is filming new locations for the movie or taking more pictures. If he’s filming new scenes, his role could be more than a cameo, and we might get a glimpse of him in his Vulture outfit (SHARMA, 2021).

Never say never to “Marvel.”

Keaton has said that he will be in Morbius and will do “Vulture stuff” again soon. However, it was thought that the announcement meant that he would be shooting for Morbius. People have been very excited about his possible appearance in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Kevin Feige, the head of Marvel, has said that when it comes to Marvel, “Never say never.” As a result of Keaton’s appearance in Morbius, other Spider-Man references in the released footage, and Venom’s call-out in the trailer, fans are excited about the movie. It opens up a lot of stories about Spider-Man and creates a separate “mini-universe” for him.
The way Keaton’s role in Morbius is being seen now, it looks like he could be the person who gets the Sinister Six ready for Sony Pictures. It has been putting the project on hold for a long time. Some people think that Morbius might be in a different universe because there are a lot of interdimensional references in its footage that fans believe to belong to settings from other Spider-Man movies, like Marc Webb’s and Sam Raimi’s.

New Spider-Man stories

They don’t know the real reason for the reshoots with Keaton on this Marvel project. However, it will make the Marvel universe bigger and set up stories in movies or on Disney+ in the future. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal have already said that there will be three more Spider-Man movies after No Way Home. It means that Marvel and Sony are planning for a wide range of new Spider-Man stories in the comics that will interact with other projects in the MCU. Keaton will reprise his role in Morbius, which will be released on January 28, 2022. Jared Leto, Adria Arjona, Matt Smith, and Tyrese Gibson will also be in the movie. Spider-Man: No Way Home will open the doors to the Marvel Multiverse on December 17, 2021 (SHARMA, 2021).
